Code of Conduct – SSNN (Sports Social News Network)
1. Introduction
SSNN is a digital media platform that produces and distributes engaging content on sports, social issues, news, health, technology, and business. Our goal is to create an inclusive, informative, and respectful environment for content creators, contributors, and audiences from diverse backgrounds.
This Code of Conduct outlines the behavioral expectations for all SSNN personnel, including contributors, guests, presenters, writers, editors, and social media managers. It applies to all SSNN-related content and interactions, both online and offline.
2. Content Standards
At SSNN, we welcome a wide range of voices and perspectives. However, there are basic standards we expect all participants to observe:
2.1 Respectful Dialogue:
We recognize that discussions can become passionate, especially around sports and social topics. However, all dialogue must be respectful. Personal attacks, inflammatory language, or attempts to provoke conflict are prohibited.
2.2 Relevant Commentary:
Sociopolitical issues may be discussed ONLY when directly relevant to the topic (e.g., racism in football, gender equity in sports). Personal agendas or unrelated political views are not appropriate for SSNN platforms.
2.3 No Hate Speech or Harassment:
SSNN personnel must not engage in or promote any form of hate speech, harassment, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, age, disability, or socio-economic status.
2.4 Truthful and Accurate Representation:
Contributors must not make false, defamatory, or misleading statements. Always fact-check and cite credible sources.
2.5 Privacy and Confidentiality:
Do not share confidential or private information about SSNN operations or any individual unless you have their consent. Avoid doxing, gossip, or speculative commentary about others.
2.6 Maintaining Brand Integrity:
All public behavior must reflect SSNN's values of professionalism, accuracy, fairness, and inclusivity. Any content or behavior that may bring SSNN into disrepute is strictly prohibited.
3. Use of Social Media
The following applies to all SSNN-affiliated individuals using social media:
3.1 Personal Responsibility:
You are personally responsible for any content you publish online. Even if it’s on a personal account, if it references SSNN, it must be professional and not conflict with this Code.
3.2 Moderation and Alignment:
Social media activity should support or align with SSNN's mission. Avoid inflammatory posts, conspiracy theories, or extreme partisan views that may damage SSNN’s reputation.
3.3 Third-Party Content:
Do not post or share content (including memes, jokes, or chain messages) that is false, defamatory, copyrighted, or likely to cause harm.
3.4 Risk of Liability:
Misuse of social media can result in personal or corporate legal liability. If unsure, don’t post. When in doubt, consult with SSNN leadership before sharing.
4. Conduct Outside SSNN
You are an ambassador of SSNN even outside the platform. You must not engage in any conduct that:
- Intentionally or unintentionally harms SSNN’s reputation
- Results in negative public attention or legal risk for SSNN
- Conflicts with SSNN’s values and mission
If you are involved in any situation that may impact SSNN’s reputation, you are required to notify SSNN leadership immediately.
5. Enforcement
SSNN reserves the right to take action against individuals who breach this Code. Possible consequences include but are not limited to:
- Warnings or content edits
- Suspension or removal of content from SSNN platforms
- Revocation of platform access
- Termination of contract or contributor status
- Legal action if necessary
All enforcement decisions will be made fairly and at the discretion of SSNN management.
6. Amendments and Administration
This Code of Conduct may be amended at SSNN’s discretion to reflect legal, social, or operational changes. All updates will be communicated to relevant personnel in a timely manner.
SSNN will be the sole arbiter of the interpretation and application of this Code. All decisions are final unless manifestly unreasonable.
7. Jurisdiction
This Code of Conduct and any disputes related to it shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New York.
